Rising Reception

Providing the perfect bridge between Nursery and Reception

Our children start Rising Reception at the age of three and this year ensures a smooth transition between Nursery and Reception.

We believe that the Early Years builds a foundation for a love of learning, which will stay with your child for the rest of their lives, whatever their individual strengths.

The first big step on their academic journey

Our children follow a richly diverse and tailor-made EYFS curriculum, focusing on stimulating their development through communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development.

Everything we do is designed to provide active involvement and relevant first-hand opportunities, in an environment filled with possibilities. Our teachers and specialist staff, engage with pupils to encourage curiosity, self-confidence, independence and good manners, laying the best possible foundations for positive learning in the future.

Our small class sizes and excellent pupil teacher ratios means we can focus on teaching small groups, with work designed for every pupil, to ensure your child’s learning is designed uniquely for them.

In the afternoon sessions, we run different themed afternoon including cookery, science discovery, forest school and swimming in our indoor heated pool.

It’s a very special school that is very inclusive with a wide choice of subjects which cater for all types of children. The staff are kind and supportive and understanding - they feel like an extended family. We have been really impressed.
